Chicken

Let’s start with the star of the dish: chicken.

It won’t be ordinary chicken for long because it will be seasoned with the best spices. Once cooked, the chicken will have a juicy and tender texture that will pair well with crunchy veggies.

Aside from stir-frying, you can also use chicken for baking, deep frying, grilling, and roasting. Instead of vegetables, you can also cook the chicken with pasta and noodles.

  • As mentioned by WebMD, chicken can give you stronger bones and muscles.
  • In fact, chicken can help calm your nerves and your body to relieve stress and promote relaxation.
  • According to Chicken Check In, chicken can also promote weight loss and weight management.

If you love chicken, then here are other chicken recipes that you can try:

Broccoli

Enjoy stir fry like never before with some broccoli.

These tree-like veggies have a mildly sweet, bitter, and vegetal flavor that will taste better with pieces. Broccoli is fun to eat because it can be crispy and crunchy. Once you wash the broccoli, you will see how colorful and vibrant it is.

According to Healthline, broccoli can have good effects on your eye health. It can also help prevent certain types of cancer. The broccoli also boosts immunity to protect you from the flu.

Bell peppers and sweet peppers

Some of the best peppers for stir-fries are bell peppers and sweet peppers.

They add lots of colors to make the dish inviting. These peppers can also give the dish a sweet and fresh flavor that will complement the chicken. Even the fragrance it adds will leave you wanting more.

Just like broccoli, the peppers will also have a crispy and crunchy quality to add variety to the dish. I use my leftover peppers for Okra Soup, Red Bream Stew, Smoked Mackerel Stew, Jollof Rice, Moi Moi, and more!

Aromatics

You can’t forget about the aromatics. Onions and garlic will instantly escalate the quality of your Chicken and Broccoli Stir Fry. The aromatics will give the dish a pungent and peppery taste to the dish.

Using basic aromatics like onion and garlic will already make a big difference in your recipe. You can never go wrong with aromatics in this dish!

Carrots

Make the dish healthier with some carrots! This stir-fry dish will not be complete without colorful and delicious carrots. These will add a mildly sweet and earthy flavor that will pair well with the broccoli.

Once cooked into the dish, the carrot will also have a tender yet crunchy texture you will love. I also use carrots to make Nigerian Fried Rice so much tastier!

Scotch bonnet

Give the stir fry a kick of spice with a little bit of scotch bonnet. It has the right level of spice that will make the chicken and veggies taste better. The scotch bonnet will also balance the sweet ingredients like the peppers.

Seasoning

The best seasoning for chicken and vegetables includes mixed herbs, sea salt, all-purpose seasoning, cumin, curry powder, ginger powder, onion granules, and oregano!

You are free to use other herbs and spices that you like to give it the best flavors.

Sunflower oil
