When it comes to flavored oils, Garlic-Infused Oil is definitely one of my favorites. I love using garlic because it adds pungency, spice, and unique flavor to the dishes. It’s also one of the best aromatics because it smells good, especially when you fry it!

Garlic-Infused Oil is a no-cook condiment recipe you can make in under 10 minutes. You can prepare this even if you don’t have a blender or food processor. Are you ready to make this homemade delight? Let’s go!


You only need two ingredients to make Garlic-Infused Oil: garlic and oil! 


As you probably already know, garlic is an herb that can be eaten as a vegetable or used as a flavoring agent. It comes in a bulb that you can break into cloves. 

You need to peel the papery white skin of the garlic to unleash its aroma and flavor. Peeling it is also fun because you can smash it against your knife! 

It is usually used to saute, roast, and fry – good for beef, fish, chicken, and even vegetables. Aside from using it for oil, you can also make garlic powder to spice up your meals!

  2. Blend them in a blender or food processor until coarse.

  • The garlic bulb should feel firm to the touch. 
  • It should not have molds or cracks. 
  • The garlic should also be whole when you buy it. However, you can also buy garlic that’s already in cloves.

Storing garlic

  • According to Master Class, you can keep the garlic at room temperature for about a week.
  • Meanwhile, peeled and chopped garlic can be stored in a container. Then, put it in the fridge for three days.
  • Freeze the garlic in freezer bags to last up to several weeks.
  • Otherwise, dehydrate the garlic to store it for a long time.

If you’ve had a hard time peeling garlic, then follow this guide:

  1. Separate the cloves with your hands or a knife
  2. Smash the garlic clove with the flat side of the knife.
  3. Easily pull the garlic skin to peel! 

No-Blender Garlic Paste

Instead of using a blender or food processor, you can also use a grater or knife. Mince the garlic as you normally would. Then, mash it by dragging the knife’s sharp edge against the garlic. Add in some salt to make it easier to mash.

Aside from sunflower oil, you can also use olive oil, especially if you want to use it as a salad dressing or marinade. Moreover, you can make the oil tastier by adding herbs like rosemary, thyme, and basil.
