Sliced

Ripe sliced ones are prone to browning or oxidation. To keep from browning, toss them into a bit of lemon juice or olive oil before putting them in cling film in the fridge. Do the same with unripe slices.

  • Prepare the avocados.
    Cut the avocado in half by running your knife from the top and around the seed. Separate the two halves and remove the pit/stone or seed.
    From there, you can easily peel the avocado by pulling at the skin. Then, use a clean knife to slice it according to your preferred cuts and sizes.
  • Pre-freeze the avocados.
    Arrange the avocado slices on a lined baking tray. You can also cover them with another piece of parchment paper. Pre-freeze the avocados for several hours.
  • Transfer them into a resealable bag.
    Once frozen solid, put the avocado slices in a freezer bag. You can pack them in batches to easily take them out of the freezer.
    A batch of frozen avocados can last up to 6 months!
