Sweet Potato Puree

Ingredients

  • 6 sweet potatoes (medium-sized)
  • water (for blending into puree)

Instructions

  • Rinse the sweet potatoes.
  • Chop them into pieces with a knife.
  • Arrange the sweet potatoes on a baking tray.
  • Bake them in a preheated oven set at 200°C for 30 minutes or until done. 
  • Puree the sweet potatoes for a baby-friendly texture!

For six months old and above

  • Transfer the sweet potatoes to a blender.
  • Add warm water or milk, depending on how you want the consistency to be.
  • Blend until smooth.

For ten months old and above

  • Peel the baked sweet potatoes.
  • Mash the soft ones with a fork or masher while they are still hot.

Notes

  • If you don’t have access to an oven, you can boil, steam, or air fry the sweet potatoes before mashing. 
  • Never let it sit at room temperature for longer than two hours to prevent contamination. 
  • Label your containers for safety purposes.
