First Method

  • Boil water and use it to rinse the grapefruit.
    Slice off the bottom part and mount it on a chopping board.
    Peel it in a downward motion.
    Remove as much of the white layer or albedo as you can.
    Gently cut out the endocarp or sacs from the membrane.

Second Method

  • Peel the grapefruit with a citrus peeler or knife.
    Loosen up the sacs until you can separate the fruit into two.
    Remove the membrane with your fingers.
