How to Make Almond Flour

Ingredients

  • 2 cups almonds (blanched/peeled)

Instructions

Whole almonds

  • Put the almonds in the blender.
  • Blend them on high speed.
  • Then, shake the sides of the blender.
  • Continue blending until powdery.
  • Filter the flour with a sieve.
  • Once done, store the flour in a jar.

Blanched almonds

  • Boil water in a pot.
  • Blanch the almonds for a minute.
  • Drain the almonds with cold water.
  • Then, rinse them with cold water to cool.
  • Just squeeze the almonds to peel.
  • Pat the almonds dry.
  • Mill them in a blender until fine.
  • Sift the flour with a sieve.

Notes

  • You can use whole almonds or blanched almonds. 
  • Make the almond flour with a blender, food processor, or miller. 
  • Don’t overcook the almonds while blanching.
