- ½ yam (medium-sized)
- 1½ cup water
- 1 tsp sea salt
Slice or cut the yam into circles using a knife.
Peel off the skin from each slice.
Place the peeled and sliced yams in a pot of water (or in a pot of boiling water with a steaming basket).
Rinse off the starch from the yams and place them in a pot.
Put the pot over medium heat.
Then, add water and salt.
Cover and cook for 15 to 20 minutes.
Use a fork to check for doneness.
Once soft, remove it from heat and serve!
