Ingredients

Instructions

  • Prepare the roasted peanuts.
Split each peanut into two and remove their hearts or embryos. The heart or embryo is the tiny nub that you will notice attached to peanut halves. This can cause a slightly bitter flavor in the peanut butter.
  • Use a food processor to make the peanut butter.
Put the peanuts in the food processor or blender and let them blend until the consistency becomes smooth.
Scrape down the peanuts on the sides of the food processor or blender to make sure that all of the peanuts are ground into a paste. Repeat this process until you achieve a buttery and smooth consistency.

Notes

  • You can roast peanuts in an oven, microwave, stove, or air fryer.
  • Even without an oven, you can make peanut butter using a blender, mortar, and pestle.
  • Always store your peanut butter in an airtight container on the counter, in the fridge, or the freezer.
  • Unshelled peanuts can usually take up to 20 minutes to roast.
