The Perfect Moist Pound Cake

Pound cake is a delightful dessert that just takes all of your worries away! It has a smooth, moist, and airy texture and a sweet taste that makes it an excellent option for breakfast or dessert.

  • Line the baking pan with parchment paper.
  • Grease the parchment with butter or oil.
  • Then, set it aside. 
  • In a mixer, combine the plain flour, sugar, and baking powder.
  • Add the butter to the dry mixture.
  • Set the mixer at medium speed for one minute.
  • In a bowl, mix the eggs with evaporated milk and vanilla extract.
  • Add half of the egg mixture into the mixer.
  • Mix everything on medium speed for 30 seconds.
  • Then, add the remaining half of the egg mixture.
  • Continue to mix at medium speed for another 30 seconds. 
  • Preheat the oven to 160° C for at least 15 minutes. 
  • Transfer the batter to the lined baking pan.
  • Smooth out the surface with a spatula.
  • Place it in the oven to bake for 50-55 minutes or until golden brown. 
  • Check the cake for doneness with a cake tester, toothpick, or skewer.
  • Leave to cool for 15 minutes before slicing and enjoying!
