Prepare the plantain.

  • Peel the plantain by cutting the ends and along the ridges.
  • Slice it into cubes for easy cooking.

Air fry the plantain.

  • Grease the air fryer basket with sunflower oil.
  • Arrange the plantain cubes in a single layer in the basket and spray or brush them with sunflower oil all-over.
  • Set the air fryer at 370ºF or 200ºC) for 10 minutes.
  • After 5 minutes, shake the plantains and allow to air fry for another 5 minutes for even doneness.
  • Finally, transfer the contents to a plate
  • Enjoy your air-fried plantain cubes!

Notes

  • When working with numerous plantains, air fry the cubes in batches.
  • You can also pan fry, bake, grill, boil, or steam them.
